Hallo, ein Freund schenkte mit vor einiger Zeit eine Bronze aus Alexandria. Ich denke, es ist ein Elagabal. Das Stück wiegt 7,77 gr, Durchmesser 22/23 mm. Kann mir jemand das Stück näher bestimmen (Legende, Katalog)? Gruß ischbierra

Es ist allerdings das Alexandria in der Troas, nicht das Alexandria in Ägypten! Möchtest Du mit dem Tipp selbst weitersuchen, oder soll ich weiter bestimmen?

Aber gern doch: Elagabalus, Alexandria Troas. Av.: ANTONIN - VS PIVS AVG; drapierte und belorbeerte Büste n. re. Rv.: COL ALEX // AVG; Wolf mit Zwillingen n. re. Bellinger A316. SNG Cop. 157. BMC 108. "Bellinger: Troy the coins" ist eine gute Referenz für Münzen aus Alexandria Troas. Sie sind häufig krude und nicht gut erhalten. Für Alexandria Troas hast Du also ein durchaus sammelwürdiges Stück! |
